get to know me
Hi there, and welcome! I am the face and creator behind Bruno and Libby. I live in Tennessee with my husband (Cale), our three young kiddos (Jackson, Stella, and Crew), and two goldendoodles (Ryman and Rocky). Once a corporate auditor, I am now a full-time, self-taught DIYer with a passion for inspiring others to take on their own projects and build a life they love!

Why Bruno & Libby?
my husband’s middle name is Bruno and mine is Elizabeth (short form: Libby). I started Bruno and Libby in 2019 to document our home build journey and share my passion for home décor, design, and DIY. We had just moved into our new build farmhouse right outside of Nashville and welcomed our first son. I was feeling a bit stuck and unfulfilled in my career as a CPA, and I began sharing our home and small DIY projects as a creative outlet. With each project I completed, I grew more confident that I could take on something bigger and soon, my list of home projects was endless! I began to share my projects step-by-step in real time, hoping to show and inspire others that they can create a home that they love and are proud of too.

Fast forward to 2022, and I was able to leave my corporate career behind! This definitely was not the plan I had for my life, but sometimes, you have to rewrite your plan. I've never been more passionate about anything in my professional life and I'm so thankful that you are here! It’s not lost on me that pursuing Bruno and Libby full force would never have been possible without you taking the time to follow along and spend a few minutes of your day with me. I want to inspire and empower you to feel confident in your own home projects, because if I can do it, so can you! It is an absolute privilege to connect with you, so please come say hi! I started small and with each project, I’ve grown more confident. I don’t always know what I’m doing, but I love figuring it out together and knowing at the end of the day, I did that!

I have a Masters in Accounting and am a CPA (inactive), and I worked for almost 13 years as a corporate healthcare auditor before leaving my job in 2022.

Some of our faves include John Mayer, Gavin DeGraw, The Wild Feathers, and Moon Taxi. Our favorite music venue is The Ryman Auditorium, which we named one of our doodles after.
We love concerts
I used to have a black thumb! I started off with a few low-maintenance plants. Three years later and now have over 20 thriving house plants!

My husband and I are high school sweethearts! We started dating when we were 16 and 17 and have been inseparable ever since!

I’m obsessed with iced coffee, and I look forward to it every single day. My coffee drink of choice is an iced honey and blackberry latte…so good!
